The Ideal Home Show in Glasgow has now passed and was a big success!
It was my first Ideal Home Show, but not the first time I’ve had a fair stand at the SECC – always a great venue.
Over the 4 days, I displayed my large oversized artworks and some smaller pieces.
I set up a painting station too on the stall where I happily splashed away on the canvas , much to the amusement of a lot of children. I asked them to help me with ideas for the paintings.
Always learning and growing and working out the best ways of doing things; What did I learn from this event? I don’t think I will continue the larger artworks to the extent I have as they don’t sell as easily as my smaller pieces. Also, I will need a bigger car!
I love painting the small box paintings – I believe in making affordable art and they’re so handy for transporting and make fabulous little gifts to give.
I also have a new -found love of my naïve art, whimsical art style. I wasn’t too sure how this would go down, but had very good feedback. I love creating little characters in Scottish inspired scenes.
Its all learning and reshaping…
